    Description

    Michael’s Dark Cherry Amish Stained Chest
    Built here in the U.S.A, this solid wood blanket hope chest is handmade at our Ohio Farmhouse Workshop and patterned after a vintage blanket chest from the early 1900’s.
    Each blanket chest is handmade, hand-fitted, hand-sanded, and hand-finished by an experienced woodworking craftsman with 40 years of experience in the cabinet building trade.
    Refer to newly added pictures of one of these trunks, still in our shop, being prepped for packaging.
    Measures 47” in length x 23” in height x 16” in width for plenty of trunk storage space. Weighs approximately 50 lbs.
    This chest is stained with Michael’s Dark Cherry stain wood finish. The trunk is then protected with several coats of satin polyurethane. We sand between coats to give this piece an ultra-smooth finish!
    Michael’s Cherry Stain is an exclusive Amish mixed brand secret formula! It’s rich tone highlights the grains in the wood for a spectacular and luxurious finish!
    Solid Knotty White Pine Construction!
    The blanket chest lid features a full-length brass piano hinge and two anti-slam closers. Also, two solid metal cup-style handles for easy lifting.
    Legs and handles are pre-drilled and fitted, but removed for shipping purposes. Simply install handles with Phillips screwdriver and legs easily twist on by hand.
    Our workshop is located within the rural flat farmlands of Ohio where the sounds of babbling creeks and Amish buggy horse clops are always nearby.
