    Description

    From our Solid Wood Amish Farmhouse Series Collection DIY Finish
    Built here in the U.S.A, this solid wood blanket hope chest is handmade here in our Ohio Farmhouse Workshop and patterned after a vintage antique Amish blanket chest from the early 1900’s.
    Constructed with solid knotty white pine wood. No fillers or substitutes. No veneers or plywood. Notice solid dowel pin construction on face side of chest. Dowel pins are solid red oak which offer contrasting hues in the woodwork.
    No factory productions here. Each piece is handmade, hand-fitted, hand-sanded, and hand-finished by an experienced woodworking craftsman with 40 years of experience in the cabinet building trade.

    Measures 47” in length x 22-1/2” in height x 16” in width. Weighs approximately 50 lbs.
    This chest is left in its natural wood finish allowing you to give it a DIY finish coat of your choice. We have several requests each year for a chest in which the customer wants to apply their own finish, so here it is! We have sanded this chest and it is ready for your final touch!
    Features a full-length brass piano hinge and two anti-slam closers. Also, two solid metal cup-style handles for easy lifting.
    Legs and handles are pre-drilled and fitted, but removed for shipping purposes. Simply install with Phillips screwdriver.
    Our workshop is located within the rural flat farmlands of Ohio where the sounds of babbling creeks and Amish buggy horse clops are always nearby.
